Data Security

Protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data is a core responsibility at Hund, LLC. We employ multiple layers of security controls to safeguard your information throughout its entire lifecycle.

Data Classification

We operate a formal data classification scheme to ensure that data is protected with a level of security appropriate to its sensitivity. Customer data submitted to our service is classified as Confidential, our highest classification level, and is protected by our most stringent security controls.

Encryption

Encryption in Transit

All data transmitted between you and the Hund service is encrypted using strong, industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 or higher). We enforce HTTPS for all connections to our application and website to protect your information from eavesdropping and man-in-the-middle attacks. Any attempts to connect over unencrypted HTTP are automatically redirected to HTTPS.

Encryption at Rest

All customer data stored in our production environment, including database files and backups, is encrypted at rest using AES-256. We enforce this encryption on all production data stores and backups, leveraging the native, audited encryption capabilities of our cloud providers.

Access Control

Access to customer data is strictly controlled and limited. We enforce the Principle of Least Privilege, meaning our personnel are only granted the minimum level of access necessary to perform their job functions. All access to production systems containing customer data is logged and monitored. We conduct regular access reviews on at least a quarterly basis to ensure permissions remain appropriate.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide our services to you or to meet our legal obligations. Our specific data retention periods are outlined in our Privacy Policy. When data reaches the end of its retention period, or upon your request, it is securely deleted from our systems in a manner that prevents recovery.
